Reading this page: the map and the six parameter selectors above it report district counts confirmed in the BeFIQR Bihar Groundwater Situation Report (geogenic contamination screening, CGWB/SWID). The field-sample table beneath is an illustrative snapshot only, not a verified laboratory result.

Ground Water Sensor Health - telemetry network transmission status
64 real-time DWLR stations of 892 monitored wells (BGSR-2026)
Network maturity note: Bihar's CGWB/BWRD network currently carries real-time telemetry on only 64 of 892 monitored wells (7%); the remaining 828 are read manually - 312 on the National Hydrograph Network's quarterly cycle, 516 on other periodic (SWID / state) rounds. The sensor-health view below covers the 64 telemetry stations; manual-well coverage is shown separately in the Monitoring Network page.

Layer Notes

District and river geometry are drawn from the Bihar administrative and river-network shapefiles supplied for BeFIQR (self-contained SVG, no external map service).

Known limitation: Arwal (bifurcated from Jehanabad in 2001) has no independent polygon in the current boundary layer and renders within Jehanabad's outline. All tabular views still list Arwal separately using its own state-master code.
